The House of Luna was built from the success of its weekly "All-House QTPOC Kiki" and the regionally groundbreaking 2017 Lunático Ball, which celebrated 26 categories. We are passionate students of Ballroom and House Culture and work to create spaces for collective liberation in our communities. Following the founder’s respective departures from Seattle in 2018, the family evolved into different houses but still celebrate and uphold each other. Due to the global popularity of this website as a resource for the ballroom & house movement, this website is maintained by Papi as a resource for the global movement for queer liberation through ballroom.

Founders

Father - papí Luna

(he/him) - continued ballroom in Mexico City, organizing HIV-related events and campaigns from 2017 - 2022. Currently lives in Los Angeles and is the Executive Director of Liminal Works where he creates platforms for queer empowerment, education, and liberation.

 Mother - Jade Dynasty

(she/her) - currently active in New York City’s Kiki and Ballroom scene
